KC’s Lever1, Infusion Express lead 81 Missouri companies on Inc. 5000 list

Inc. magazine has released its Inc. 5000, an annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Eighty-one Missouri companies made the list, and six cracked the top 200.

Lever1, a Kansas City-based HR management, was Missouri’s top company, at No. 44. The company had a growth rate of 6,559.79 percent and raked in $27.6 million in revenue.

Close behind was another Kansas City company, Infusion Express. The intravenous therapy provider claimed the 60th spot with a growth rate of 5,549.74 percent and annual revenue of $7.1 million.

Tactical Shit, a company that sells weapon modifications and apparel, was No. 115 on the list and the top-ranked St. Louis company with a growth rate of 3,445.58 percent.

Wildwood Roofing & Construction in Ellisville, Zhou Nutrition in Kansas City and Etegra in Olivette, were 164th, 193rd and 199th, respectively.

Springfield’s top representative on the list was Sun Solar, at No. 397. Adventur.es was the best-ranked Columbia company, checking in at No. 248. PFSbrands was the highest Jefferson City business on the list, at No. 4,782.

To qualify for the Inc. list, companies must be U.S.-based, privately-owned and not be a subsidiary of another company. They must have started earning revenue by March 31, 2013, and they must have earned at least $100,000 in 2013 and at least $2 million in 2016.
