Eighty-one Missouri companies made the list, and six cracked the top 200. Lever1, a Kansas City-based HR management, was Missouri’s top company, at No. 44. The company had a growth rate of 6,559.79 percent and raked in $27.6 million in revenue.

Among them, four local firms were included in the more exclusive Inc. 500 list, with Lever 1 nabbing a No. 44 ranking. In 2016, only one Kansas City company made the 500 list, ranked No. 478.
